What we collect

• Account information: your email address and sign-in records.
• Profile information: your name, city, language and avatar choices.
• Participation: the days you completed or rested, your notes, and the photos or videos you upload as proof.
• Waitlist: your email address and language, if you join the waitlist.
• Technical information: records our service providers keep for security, such as IP address and browser details.

Why we use it

• To create your account and sign you in securely.
• To show you the day's task and keep your progress and letter pieces.
• To place you in a circle in your city.
• To keep the service safe, prevent abuse and meet our legal obligations.
• To tell you when the ring opens, if you are on the waitlist.

Who sees what

• Your notes and proof photos or videos are visible only to you.
• People in your circle see only your name, your avatar, whether you did good today and your total number of kindnesses.
• The Lights page shows only city names and how many kindnesses happened there today, never people.
• We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Where your data is kept

• The database and files are stored on Supabase infrastructure in the European Union (Frankfurt). The site is served through Vercel. Sign-in emails are sent through an email service provider.
• Some of these providers are companies based outside Türkiye and the EU, for example in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

How long we keep it

• We keep your data while your account is open.
• When you delete your account, your profile, notes, progress and uploaded files are deleted immediately. Copies in our providers' backups disappear within 30 days at most.
• Waitlist entries are kept until you ask to be removed or until we tell you the service has opened.

Cookies

We only use cookies the site needs to work: the sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in and your language choice. We use no tracking or advertising cookies.

Your rights

• You can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, and object to its processing. You can delete your account at any time from the Account page.
• For other requests, write to azizkarhan@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Age limit

Kindred Ring is only for people aged 18 or over. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we delete it.

Changes

If we update this policy we change the date on this page and tell you about important changes. Version: 2026-10-18.
